Would anyone be interested in a Yahoo group site? I have noticed that there
posting meeting minutes; private messages; Chats about events; photos;
anything we would want to keep just for Bryn Gwylad citizens.

I've been in on a few of the conversations regarding the new baronial site, and I'd suggest you wait until you've had a chance to check it out before you consider starting a Yahoo! group. There will be CONSIDERABLY more content that on the old site, including, as I understand it, several interactive sections (among them a user-updatable calendar and photo galleries) and informational segments from the Barony's various officers. You might find that much of the function you're missing will be available.

Yep. The brief look I got at it on Tuesday before it was pulled down again
showed that it will have a number of cool features.

glad to set up and maintain such a site for us. There is no cost and it can
be restricted to Barony members only. If you have any ideas about a Yahoo
group site please send your comments. Yea or Nay??

Actually, I think this would be redundant once the new web site is
Ok'd for use. There is already a place for officers and guild leaders
to post news whenever they wish, there's a portfolio section for people
who want to upload their own music clips, artwork etc., and a photo
album and message board could be easily added if there's interest in
them. The only advantage an off-site setup would have is that there'd
be no need to fill in permission-to-publish forms for photos or other
work.
